Martial art is always in development, Kenichi Sawai the founder of Taikiken, had this in mind when he invited fighters from different schools to train in Meiji Jingu, people from karate, kickboxing, judo, wrestling all trained together.
So you could say, he formed the first of mixed martial arts (MMA) group of people exchanging skills and knowledge.
